Paypal losing shipping charges

I'm very new to osC, so please bear with me. My friends have been running an osC shop for some time with little trouble. Over the past month or so Paypal hasn't been deducting the shipping and postage charges from the customers. The invoices are correct. Paypal have said that they will fix the problem during several calls. Paypal is now saying the fault is not with them but with osCommerce. I would appreciate members contributions. `

I would suggest that your friends check their profile at paypal.

I just talked with Paypal and they indicate that this is a known problem. They said it is not a problem with the cart and that there is no known workaround, and that they have no projected time for a fix!

 

Hard to believe huh?

 

If anybody can shed light on this I would appreciate it. We are going to need to disable paypal unless there is a way to solve this.

CHANGE the Paypal IPN in Admin/Modules to Agregrate the totals. This is the only work around within OSCommerce at this time until Paypal pull there finger out.

 

All it means that instead of seeing a product listing and shipping totals in Paypal system is that the totals from the basket are added together and the shipping is then sent to Paypal as well.

 

So the customer just sees'

 

Store Name - $47.99

Shipping - $3.00

 

Instead of

Product 1 - $12.99

Product 2 - $35.00

 

(With no shipping!)
