Shipping Table Rate Settings? Going Live Soon!

I'm hoping to use grams for the product weight to work out the shipping prices for my products.

Most of my products are under 100 grams.

Less than 100 grams = 1.50.

Over 100 grams, less than 250 grams = 3.00

Over 250 grams less than 500 grams = 5.50

Over 500 grams = 9.50.

I've got Package Tare Weight (Whatever that is) at 3.

The Table Rate settings I'm using is 100:1.50,250:3.00,500:5.50,10000:9.50

I have something weighing just 68 grams. Put that into checkout, shipping price shows 3.00

What setting is incorrect? This item weigh's less than 100 grams and should come into the 1.50 range shouldn't it?

Also, if someone add's loads of products to the cart is the total weight calculated then shipping cost. Or would it do it like this.

Item 1 68g = 1.50

Item 2 68g = 1.50

Item 3 110g = 3.00

Total = 6.00

Or is it worked out like

Item 1 68g

Item 2 68g

Item 3 110g

Total 246g = 3.00

I'm pulling my hair out trying to work this out, this is the only thing I need to sort before going live with this site and could do with the help ASAP.

Thanks in advance.

Is your table set to weight or price and is your shipping taxed?

Posted
At the moment it's set to Weight and the shipping is not taxed.

Do you have a handling fee set?

Your table looks ok.

No Handling Fee either. I think I may have solved it with your previous post explaining the postage weight is added together.

I'm gonna change some settings and see if it fixes it. I'll let you know. :)
