You do need to change them yes, use your ftp program for setting the permissions and i think the needed permissions are in the install text file

Is it a stupid question to ask where the install text file is?

Most contributions have an install.txt, or install.htm, or a readme.txt, or whatever name is used.

i believe i have tracked the config file i need to either one of two files, this is according to "readme.txt":

-includes/application_top.php

-includes/classes/displayimages.php

After looking through both these files i still can't figure out what to change, in order to change the permissions on the image folder. Someone please help! Thanks.

Thank you so much, that worked to fix the errors, and i can now add a product, and upload images for it, but after i set the status to active, it still doesn't show up on the front end. Suggestions? Thanks!
