My customers not checking out properly

I have a good but bad problem in my store.

 

My customers are adding the products to their shopping cart, once they find out the amount for the products plus shipping they then go to thier paypal account to pay me. Why this is bad is because they're not checking out and deducting the product from my store. This is not good because some of my products have very few.

 

My question is how did they find out my paypal account email and how can I stop this from happening? It's good I'm getting customers buying products but annoying because I have to manually subtract the items from my stores content.

Latest Paypal IPn takes care of inventory deduction.

Satish I have paypal IPN and it works fine but what I meant is they know my email for payment.

They add the items, find out how much the fee is then go to their paypal account to pay me.

 

What they're totally doing is misisng the whole check out thing. Ahhhhh but after I set the status of their order from

preparing IPN to processing will this change things?

 

I think I might just email all my customers and tell them to please check out correctly or I might take some screen shots and add them to my site.

ok this is strange...

 

I had 5 orders in the past 2 days and all of them are paying with paypal but the order is still on Preparing Paypal IPN. I check my emails and it says you have recieved money but the order is not changing to oreder recieved and I'm not even getting an email about this.

 

I recently just updated my SSL cert, could this have somethig to do with it?

 

I have paypal IPN and it's bee no problems except September when they updated their homepage.

 

Any ideas what's going on here?

It's an issue with the customer not returning to your store after completing the PayPal process, they seem to think that once there done with PayPal everything is done and head off to something else. Make sure you have the return URL in PayPal set to checkout_success.php also.

Really I read the paypal IPN contrib and it said don't add that feature to your paypal account. I will go ahead try that out thanks. I'll report back and see how things go.
