blavaud Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Hello, i have setup all my shop. Then i have tried to order one product. I have made paiement trough paypal. Then paypal has sent confirmation of paiement no problem. The problem is that i havent received anything from the "OSCommerce" in order to give me the content of the order... And no products has been removed automatically in the stock. thing has been notified also in the admin section order etc... In other words, paiement was ok, but absolutely nothing happened on OSC side... No orders registered, no notification email with order details, no items removed from stock... Maybe i have done a mistake somewhere... Could you help me ? Thanx a lot.

I have had my store running for several months now and on occasions the payment will go through and I will get an email from paypal but no email detailing the order from the site. Also, there is no record in 'orders' of any sale. If the customer only orders one item, I can work out what it was as all prices in the store are different but I have no way of knowing if they have selected a different shipping address (which they quite often do). Coopco - are you saying that we will only get this information if the customer clicks on the 'return to store' button after payment? Thanks.
satish Posted November 16, 2007 Posted November 16, 2007 Well default paypal populates order on customer return.ON times customer never returns back. Paypal IPN takes care of this so install it. In fact go to your Paypal module "edit". then turn "set order status" from "default" to "processing". that s it ! Then from now, paypal inform you that you have received a paiement. So after this you go in your admin to check "orders status" and you have name and details of order.... But i am interested to understand what is exactly Paypal IPN ? what s the difference etc... ? thanx a lot for all.
