I have a CRE LOADED TEMPLATE. Can this be used on a osCommerce store?

A CRE LOADED TEMPLATE is a hacked oscommerce store.

So are all templates (on templatemonster etc) are cre loaded and hacked stores?

cre loaded are hacked OSC, with many contributions pre loaded. Usually an older version of osc.

 

TM are hacked osc, with a template installed. Usually an older version of osc.

 

For older, read unpatched v2.2.

 

Hacked, because who knows who made the changes and how the changes were made.

Ah I gotcha. I personally wouldn't buy templates, mainly because I don't think they're worth the money. I've read loads of threads on here by people having problems. I thought that basic templates were just that and not hacked. Now I understand tho and it has put me 110% off ever having one.

 

I'll stick to my basic osc template and switch things around myself.

If you want a template, from what I have read, STS in the contrib area is good (and supported).
