shonzagall Posted November 15, 2007 Posted November 15, 2007 I'm creating a website with oscommerce for the first time and I'm wondering about the following - When we create a product x and give it attributes y and z and add it to our catalog with a quantity of, for example, 2, I see the following problem: Say we have one product x with attributes y and z. Say a shopper buys this product x, choosing the attribute y version of it. Now OScommerce subtracts 1 from our total product availability. But OScommerce does not know that the attribute y version of product x is sold out (we only had 1 of it, the other is version attribute z). It still offers the product in version y and z to the next shopper. If the next shoppper decides to buy product x version y, OSCommerce is fine with it but we will be in trouble. Shouldn't we have a way to add n amount of product x attribute y and add m amount of product x attribute z? I hope that's clear and that someone knows the answer to this, Thanks for looking, Shon
