zooshx Posted November 14, 2007 Posted November 14, 2007 Hi. I'd imagine this is pretty simple, but I'm pulling my hair out over it, so please, if you can help, I'll send a few bucks over PayPal to ya... Here is the store I'm working on (rough): http://oppenheimerart.com/NOV/ Everything is working fine, except for the white space! Under Featured Works, and in the other product listings, there are these little white spaces. They need to be the same color as the rest of the table (brown). I'm assuming I just need to adjust a table background color somewhere, but I can't figure it out... would it be in the index.php? some products php file? somewhere else? is there something I'm missing? ahh! Thanks Zach [email protected] Quote
jbastow Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Finally figured it out! Sorry! Hiya, just thought you might want to know - I checked out your site in FF just now, and the bottom half of the site is horribly misaligned. I do like the color scheme and overall look, but the layout the way it is is practically unusable. Hope this helps! Janna Quote

digilee Posted November 17, 2007 Posted November 17, 2007 Am I right in thinking that the url above is still work in progress? If not then you still have some alignment problems in FF. Quote SolarFrenzy Solar powered gadgets at down to earth prices. CheekyNaughty Promoting British Design

♥geoffreywalton Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 (edited) Timu The answer to all these type of problems is to edit stylesheet.css. The problem is to decide where. The best open source tool I have found, and no doubt others will suggest better ones, is firefox with the "Web Developer" tool installed. Use FF to go to the problem page, then you can click on Information followed by Display ID & Class Details. Suddenly little boxes appear all over the place, these show class names and allow you to narrow down where you need to look in the style sheet. Then it is a case of knowing what you want to do and the effect of various commands. Link in footer may help. zooshx Posted November 28, 2007 Author Posted November 28, 2007 (edited) Sorry for not responding with what I did to fix it ... I didn't think anyone else would have this issue since I'm pretty new to this whole platform. Yes, the answers I were looking for were all in the stylesheet! Also, thank you for pointing out the alignment stuff. What I originally did was use dreamweaver layers to create the header, nav bar, etc. It looked good with my resolution, but when it was another resolution, it got COMPLETELY messed up. Stupid idea! I went through and put everything into properly aligned tables and everything. Here's the website now: http://www.oppenheimerart.com/gallery Edited November 28, 2007 by zooshx Quote

I am talking about the main page's prices..The product page looks ok.. I will give Web developer tool a shot to see if i can handle this issue.. Thanks Quote

But I do not see the color and the font size in css...when I use View Style INformation, it shows "table.infoBoxContents", ""table.infoBox".. nothing on style info section.......Thanks Edited November 29, 2007 by Timu Quote
