Shipping by table rate up to $100 - the rest by percentage

Dear all,

 

I've searched and searched the board and other places trying to find an answer to my difficulty. I know it's not kosher to ask a question that has been answered a million times before; but all I can say is that if this question has been answered, please point me in the right direction :)

 

Trust me, I've looked :)

 

Anyhow, here's the problem. I've been working on a site for a client and have been able to get it to do pretty much everything I need it to do, except for one thing. I'm trying to incorporate their shipping schedule into OScommerce

 

$0.01-$5.00 = $2.75

$5.01-$10.00 = $3.50

$10.01-$20.00 = $4.00

$20.01-$30.00 = $4.50

$30.01-$40.00 = $6.00

$40.01-$50.00 = $7.50

$50.01-$75.00 = $8.50

75.01-$100.00 = $10.00

$100.01 and over = 10% of subtotal

 

At first I thought if worse came to worst I can just use the table rate shipping option and just put in all the possible prices. You know,

 

5:2.75,10:3.50,20:4.00,30:4.50,40:6.00,50:7.50,75:8.50, blah blah blah.

 

Come to find out, it only allows me to put in 255 characters. And if I'm going to make this thing work, I need a LOT more.

 

If anyone knows how to extend the number of characters, or how to modify the shipping module to incorporate this structure, PLEASE let me know.

 

I am using a snapshot from late Sept to early Oct. Not sure of the exact numbers :)
