I took over an existing install, it's very old.. nothing is really working the way I think it should. I think I need to upgrade. The first step would be to backup the database... when I do this it tells me that the backup directory does not exist... but it's there...

I don't know what to do... should I just do a clean install in a new directory and start over...????

Where is the backup directory?

When I click on Backup - it says backupdirectory = Backup Directory: /home/sites/www.awesomeoffroaders.com/web/eshop-admin/backups/

then there is a error message at the top that says Backup Directory does not exist...

But when I look - it is there...

if you know how to change the permissions on files and folders check they are 755 on the backup folder - That path is not right as i tried to navigate to the "web" folder on that url and it does not exist

THanks... Unfortuntly - I can't change the permissions for me to write to this file. Like I stated earlier, I took over this install, and I can't use my FTP login to CHMD on anything.. any other clues ???
