failure to install due to permission issues...

i am having installation issues when uploading the contents of catalog to my web hosting server. I get his error at teh end of installation

 

Warning: fopen(D:/hosting/member/......../admin/includes/configure.php) [function.fopen]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in D:\hosting\member\namatea\.........\install\templates\pages\install_4.php on line 152

 

 

I tried to change teh file permission on config.php but that didn't seem to fix the problem. Which file('s) do i need to change the permisison for, in order to get his working?

But did you actually change the file permissions? How did you do it?

I'm on vista and i used my ftp program called leapFTP. I basically connected to my ftp server and uploaded all of the contents of 'catalog'. The program is supposed to handle file permissions automatically. Do you have a better way of getting the files to my web server? i am looking for a new, free ftp program anyways, so i'mwilling to try something else.

My webhost recommened filezilla. It works very well. I use that to change file permissions. Apparently, sometimes, you need to go to your web hosts control panel, and use the file manager there to change permissions.
