Has anyone successfully used the googlesitemapproducts.php to create SEO friendly URLS? I've tried enabling SEO friendly urls and the such, but to no avail. I'm using Chemos Ultimate SEO.. would be wonderful to submit these urls to google in the best fit manner.

I have just install this contribution (thanks to...both of you ) and it seems working fine! Will see after GOOGLE...

I just wonder how can I protect the doc. googlesitemap. Can I put in it a .htaccess or will it block everything?

And, I don't know why but in my .xml files I have no descriptive text as the page as in it (no texts in the pages but only numbers! See below a part of my .xml file)

	<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=387</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>
<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=388</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>
<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=389</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>
<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=390</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>

How can i change the name of the pages (product_info.php?products_id=390</loc) in real names like: product_necklace_amethyste_2738 ?

Thanks

Sorry about my last question, wrong...;)

I have just install this contribution (thanks to...both of you ) and it was working fine until GOOGLE told me...

All the URLs in your Sitemap have the same priority...

It means I have no referencment ON cause I haven't a URL incrementesd!

Is it cause my .xml file look like that, without a page description (see exemple below)?

	<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=387</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>
<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=388</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>
<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=389</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>
<url>
	<loc>http://my-site/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=390</loc>
	<lastmod>2009-05-04</lastmod>
	<changefreq>weekly</changefreq>
	<priority>0.1</priority>
</url>

If it cause the name of my pages are not named with real details (product_info.php?products_id=390</loc) how can I change them in: product_necklace_amethyste_2738 (or selected automatically with tittle of the product in the page)?

What can I do?

Thanks

I just added this and ran it in google sitemaps and i get this error:

'Unsupported file format

Your Sitemap does not appear to be in a supported format. Please ensure it meets our Sitemap guidelines and resubmit.'

Am I missing something...the instructions said just put the location of the file into googlesitemaps.
