Is this a safe and possible task with OSC

I was wondering if this task is safe and possible with OSC. I know there is a contribution for multi store, and this is great for assigning different products to different stores. What I am wondering if possible is that I am setting up OSC for different distributors. Each distributor has their own customer retail base. Is it possible that the retail shops link to the manufacturers site so the retailer can pick and choose what product to show on their site, plus it would have the availability to show inventory with manufacturers database?

JR - The simplest way to achieve this is to create a new login to the admin area that only has access to the products area and then the distributor can add/edit/delete their products.

 

If you want to be able to automatically update product availablity then you would need to create a interface to the distributors application - this is possible but you would require a php developer to make the changes for you and also relies on the distributors application having a interface to their system.
