autoxtreme Posted November 10, 2007 Posted November 10, 2007 Hi, I have been getting my store ready to go live in the next few weeks. I am not far from being ready but I would like to change the address layout in the store. In the admin section where it shows registered customers the layout currently reads..... "Street Address: Post Code: City:" I would like to change this to read "Street Address Town City/County Postcode" How do I do this so it affects the sign up process and also the customer pages in the admin, along with any other parts of the store I may have overlooked? Thank you for any help :)

autoxtreme Posted December 5, 2007 Author Posted December 5, 2007 Where can I find this? I have searched the contribiution section for "UK based store" and it did not come up with any results that match what I am looking for. Can someone point me in the right direction please as I am still new to this and still learning. Thank you

autoxtreme Posted December 8, 2007 Author Posted December 8, 2007 Thank you I have tried installing this as a fresh instalation. I have taken the original shop files and replaced the ones I need to with the files in the UK shop download, but every time I install the shop and I try going to admin it comes up with an error of....... 1146 - Table 'autoext_AutoShop.administrators' doesn't exist select id from administrators limit 1 [TEP STOP] Can someone help me out with this one please as I dont really understand database code. I could be wrong but the only thing I thought it could be is the UK download is dated 2003 and I am using a more recent download of OSCommerce. I am using 2.2rc1. Could this make any difference? I would appreciate some help on this one please so I can get my shop fully working as soon as possible Thank you

Guest Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Does anyone have a solution to this problem? I need to get my store back up and working asap. Any help would be greatly appreciated I did say to not overwrite existing files, because they are not current. I am not aware of the database entry you refer to. Table 'autoext_AutoShop.administrators' but this not have been affected by the contrib. If you backed up your files, use the backed up files. Otherwise, compare your files to the standard osc files, and edit appropriately. Otherwise, if you have no other addons installed, you can reinstall osc. Delete the database first. Then use the contrib to guide you with the edits you need to get the (html) layout you require after installation. Post again if yo have problems.
autoxtreme Posted January 10, 2008 Author Posted January 10, 2008 I have now got my store back up and running using the original installation of oscommerce and not the UK version. Can someone show me how to manually change the standard version so the address reads as " Street Address Town City/County Postcode " I would be extremely grateful to anyone that can help me out with this! Thank you again
autoxtreme Posted January 10, 2008 Author Posted January 10, 2008 I would be grateful of some help on this one!! I have installed the "UK based site" as per the advice above and it messed up my store. I have got the store back up and running now, but I still need to change the address fields. I want to do this manually but dont know how. Can someone PLEASE give me an idea of what code to change and what to change it to. Thank you.
Guest Posted January 11, 2008 Posted January 11, 2008 Am I invisible???? I still think the uk based is your best option to work out what files to change, and where to change them. You are only changing the layouts in the html part od the files, and renaming some text in your language files. You may get another idea from the second address line addon..
