Hi. I am 100% new to website design, let alone commerce websites. I have put together this osC site and am fairly pleased for my first go round. Some products are not finished, some links (privacy notice etc) are not yet populated. But it is ready to go other than those things. Give it a look, see how you like it. See what you don't like and let me know. I can take it!

Thanks to everyone who has put in the time to make osC what it is today!

A very interesting logo and implementation of the logo into the header. I don't think the reflection text in your header should be so prominent (I would lower the opacity). I also would not recommend centering text especially in your categories infobox. In addition, you should not use huge pictures on your index page to advertise all the logos of the brands that you carry.

just had a look , pretty good site , seems to run quite fast, not sure about the size of the logo, seems to distract you from the rest of the page?, i looked in the products catogories and would recomend yo increase the left hand side box size so your list is on one line. if you get chance i have just written a new site, please give me comments on that

I would make the header smaller. Customers with lower resolution don't like the huge unwelcoming image on the first page. Also, I'd make your footer image a bit smaller.

Apart from the header and a few small colour changes it's pretty much bog-standard osCommerce.

You have a full SSL Certificate so can set your site to "Force Cookie Use" to get rid of the osCommerce session id in the address bar.

You have an incorrectly installed Meta Tag contribution, which is worse than having none at all. I would recommend you uninstall what you do have and replace it with cDynamic Meta Tags.

If your site is hosted on an Apache server with Mod Rewrite enabled then I recommend you instal Ultimate SEO URL's.

It is Apache version 1337 (I swear) but I have no idea what Mod Rewrite is, or how to tell if it's enabled. If you have a link handy that would be awesome. If not, could you maybe go into a little more detail?

Thanks

p.s. For everyone else... I'll make the header smaller! Thanks for the feedback.

Hi

Your header looks professional, & I like the colours, but unfortunately you have alot of "missing" info.

I couldn't find your trading address details.

You do not have a Privacy page set up yet.

You don't have any pictures which I guess if your customers know what you are selling is ok, but it looks a little bare.

You do not have any conditions of use page info.

It is slightly slow to load.

It looks half empty, but I'm sure you will fill it soon enough.

Good luck.

Julie
