H1 Tags not showing at Sub category level

Hi,

 

Am using STS Template version 4 - and all seems ok.

 

However, when displaying categories with sub-categories present the H1 Titles disappear - but are present when a category doesn't have anything below it.

 

Am assuming it is index.php that is doing the check - but can't spot a problem in the code.
