saigonhoa Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 I have gone to a website that using OSC ( but not give OSC credit). I signed up as a user then ordered products. As it got to Checkout, I used CC# in test mode: 4111111111111111 and any exp date. Amazingly it accepted my entry and asked me to click "Confirm your order". I stopped there without clicking "Confirm" to be transfered to a Gateway Payment (I believed that website using 2checkout). OK, to experts on this Forum, this is my question. What is the consequence if I press "Confirm.." ? Please explain in details the consequence after "Confirmation". PS: To my understanding, after "Order Confirmation", it transfered data to a Gateway Payment (2checkout....etc). So, how does the e-mail process among store owner, buyer and 2checkout occur ? And when each e-mail message will be sent among these according the time table of "Confirmation" ----> 2Checkout -----> back to Store ?
saigonhoa Posted November 28, 2002 Author Posted November 28, 2002 I forgot to mention...That store is a real store and in business right now.
saigonhoa Posted November 28, 2002 Author Posted November 28, 2002 Go to this : www.vietgifts.com The language is weird...but just ignore that.. Order something and you will find out for yourself.
Guest Posted November 28, 2002 Posted November 28, 2002 They get an order with a bogus credit card number. Since the credit card module provided with OSCommerce is a manual entry module, meaning they have to manually process the card order on their terminal machine, nothing will happen. If you do it with a processor like Authorize.net or Paypal, their internal checking should catch it and nullify the order. So in effect, nothing really happens except you wasting the store owner's time.
