back slash \ escape character output upon product edit

Just noticed when I edited an item with the inch (") sign in the description that raw escape characters ended up in the description field.

 

Posted 8" x 10" and showed fine. Edit in OSC and the description then contains 8\" x 10\" so it looks like the edit product function is leaving escape characters in there somewhere...

put this instead: & quot ; (without the spaces in between)

for double quotes

(For other special signs, use dreamweaver or something, alot of symbols start with "&" and end with ";")

That's an excellent suggestion for the inch sign.

 

How about for descriptions where I want to add an html link in the description field though? It will break when the description is edited currently because OSC will insert a \
