giellacustoms Posted November 7, 2007 Posted November 7, 2007 Hello all, I had my first customer tonight, but the process didnt go as smooth as i had hoped. it seems that when the customer chose the Paypal method, it just gave him my email address to send the money too and the correct check-out amount, but it didnt send me an invoice of the products the customer purchased. I have sense emailed the customer what they had purchased and also took off the paypal method, now the customer can only do pick-up (cash) and credit card. Can someone please help me with this, thanks.

This is a common problem with Paypal. Here's how to correct it. Regardless of what Paypal tells you, the customer must end up back at your site for the sale to register on your shopping cart. Login to your paypal account and go to Profile>Website Payment Preferences. Auto return should be on. The return URL should be set to http://{yoursite.com}/checkout_success.php. Do not give the customer the option of paying without a Paypal account, this also keeps them from returning to your site.

I am guessing some thing is wronf witht eh function.main but I dont know where to find it......SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME
bobg7 Posted November 8, 2007 Posted November 8, 2007 What did you install, this may give a clue to where the error is comming from. Installed Contributions: CCGV, Close Popup, Dynamic Meta Tags, Easy Populate, Froogle Data Feeder, Google Position, Infobox Header Entire Row, Live Support for OSC, PayPal Seal with CC images, Report_m Sales, Shop by Price Revised, SQL Updater, Who's Online Enhancement, Footer, GNA EP Assistant and still going.

I dont remember exactly which ones they were but they were paypal contributions toware the client wouldnt have to clich the return to site button for the site to make an invoice. I went back and replaced the files with those I had backed-up but it seems to not have helped. i have checked and re-checked and it seems all the files are where they should, it just isnt seeing them???
