krejidotcom Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I installed the OSC(latest version) installed the STS to change the templates and after putting everything together, my homepage doesnt land where I want it to be. The current homepage which I put while I was finishing up the store (www.kreji.com) I want it to redirect www.kreji.com to www.kreji.com/kreji/index.php because thats where the store is but everytime I do that, it gives me this error "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete." Is there a way to fix this, I worked till 4 in the morning last night trying to figure it out but i cant. Please help.
krejidotcom Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 someone please help, Iam totally stuck with this problem.
germ Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 It works when I try it in Firefox (Firefox/2.0.0.9)... Have you cleared your cache? If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. krejidotcom Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 Well I actually did the Meta tag redirect and its working fine but that not what I wanna do though.
germ Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 I don't do .htaccess very well... There is an STS support thread in the "Templates and Images" (<-- Click the link) forum here. I think you'd get faster replies there. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. ♥Vger Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 Put this in a .htaccess file in the root of the website (not in the folder you want people to go to): 301 / http://www.kreji.com/kreji/ Vger
