joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I'm trying to change my graphics on my site so they fit in better. http://spidersmusic.com/browse/product_inf...;products_id=65 The Reviews and Add to Cart ones etc. Anyone know where they are located? I had a look through all graphics folders and I can't find them. Thanks.
joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Also I've searched but can't find how to get rid of 'Lets See What We Have Here' and have it just display the category name...........
digipete Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Jo, Easy. To find out where a graphic is located, just go into your catalog, using Internet Explorer, right click on the image and click 'Properties'. This will give you a full path to the graphic. Pete
Brian-Bear Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 reviews, add to cart buttons etc are found in /includes/languages/images/buttons
joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Thankyou!! Can't believe it's that simple!! :D I wouldn't have thought about looking in includes/languages/english/images I thought it would have been in one of the main images folders.
digipete Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Jo, Getting rid of "Let's see what we have here" and replacing it with the category name sounds like a good idea for my sites too. For now I can tell you that that line exists in your 'catalogs/includes/languages/your language/index.php' file. Look at the definitions at the bottom and backspace out "Let\'s See What ..." If I have a brainstorm about the category name, I'll let you know. But also keep in mind the category name is in the Breadcrumbs - which you can emphasize with the stylesheet. Pete
joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Thanks Pete. I think I'll just delete it all instead of bothering with the category name if it's too difficult. I don't understand anything about 'Breadcrumbs'. I don't think it'll be a problem to have nothing there. Afterall it's a site selling CDs etc so people can see which artist they are looking at etc.
digipete Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Jo, Nice site, by the way. Breadcrumbs is the navigation path below the heading. Top » Catalog » Pop » E - H » Hanson » VICP-62882 (get it, it's like a little trail of breadcrumbs from the Top directory) Each directory level is clickable. Anyway, this tells your visitors which Category they're in. You can change the size and characteristics for this text in the stylesheet. Pete
Guest Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Also I've searched but can't find how to get rid of 'Lets See What We Have Here' and have it just display the category name........... includes/languages/english/index.php TEXT_MAIN defines the text on the first page your customers see. The default installation defines this as a very long line starting with 'This is a default setup of the osCommerce... This line ends with '); and the next line begins with define('TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS. Remove everything starting from This is a default setup and ending before the '); and replace it with your own welcome text.
joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Hi Leslie, I haven't removed that text yet as my site isn't live. I want to keep it until the last minute so I know exactly what to do  I'm not gonna have too much on the front page at first as I don't really know what I'd put there. This site started as a way for me to sell off my old CDs and vinyl I no longer want but I have now decided to grow it a bit. It will never be a huge site as I don't have time to devote to it 24/7.
joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Ah those are the breadcrumbs. I will only want to change the first 2 of them......... the 'Top' and 'Catalog' ones as they irritate me. Nothing to worry about yet tho. Will just change them to 'Home' and 'Shop' or something similar.
