Contribution question

I am a novice at this, so my question may be dumb, and may have been discussed before. I did a search and didn't see this before, but if I'm wrong, please point me to the thread.

I would like to install the extra images contribution and have no idea how to do it. Yes, there are instructions, but I didn't build my site I altered its appearance. I don't know much about php, html or the like. Can I install this myself, or is there no hope for me?

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
