how to install new custom templates ?

hi` i`ve tried to install custom oscommerce template

but i had an error with the template display . it`s doesn`t displayed corectly

and i got error messages a top of the page

" Warning : the session directory does not exist : /tmp . Session will work until this directory is created "

 

how do i fix this error ? and how to get display correct ?

We need far more info than that. What isn't it doing correctly? A link would be handy to get an idea so put a link into your profile and reference it in your reply. You'd best not post a link into this thread as you won't want search engines indexing it for your customers to find.

Probably that the install directory exists and/or the configure file is writable. Delete the install directory or rename it if this is the only copy you have of the template and change permissions on the 2 configure files to 444 - includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php

Before you change permissions on the configure files, download them one at a time, open in a text editor and at the bottom of each, set sessions to be stored in the database. Like this:

 

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql');

 

Upload them again into the correct directories and hopefully, that will cure the non existent session directory.
