seperate registration for the same user

hi,

i struggled to even find the right wording to describe my query but here goes.

 

is it possible to have a visitor to my website being able to register to see content of the website so they can see content only for registered users but then if they want to buy something then they need to provide all the information like address etc so products can be delivered?

 

i have a client who will have a lot of content available to people if the register of the web site but if they want to order and pay for products then i will need there address and specific details for ecommerce requirements.

 

i tried to search for this but had no luck,

i couldnt find an option to edit my post . . .

 

to clarify, some of the users will need access to only online material and therefore would be reluctant to register with all address info in the register form.

 

when someone wants to order a product from the shop then they would need the customers address at that point and not before.

 

is this possible to have a semi register form and a full register form?
