GoTTi Posted November 3, 2007 Posted November 3, 2007 i would like to use the google checkout, but i guess i need a SSL installed on the server. is this correct? if i need a ssl installed, can some1 contact me if they know how to install a SSL because i am having a hard time understanding it.
Guest Posted November 4, 2007 Posted November 4, 2007 Yes, you must have SSL installed to use Google Checkout. Write to your webhost or go to their website and see if they offer SSL certificates. Mine does and they installed mine for me. All I had to do was edit the two configure files in Catalog and Admin to be up and running, which is nothing at all.
GoTTi Posted November 4, 2007 Author Posted November 4, 2007 puggy, i run the server, i have it thru www.theplanet.com...1 question.... if the ssl gets installed, does that get installed on the server all together? or just for the domain my store is on? i have multiple carts running on my server i would like to have them all using the ssl. so if its installed on the server, can i enable the ssl option for all my domains on the server that i have the store on?
mark86w Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 please reply buggy a basic ssl just covers the root domain and nothing else, anything more and your looking at a lot of money, just google ssl cert and each company will tell you what they offer. also search ssl in the foroum there is a full step by step guide out there to install it
