the_archangel Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 Hi all. Just recently the catagories list on my store Fr-Shh have stopped linking to the correct page. Instead, I get: "Error! Unable to determine the page link!" How do I fix this? I've just noticed that when I click a catagory or what's new image link, a file is created in my shop (catalog) folder called categories_box-english.cache or also_purchased-english.cache31. What is this about??? Thanks for your time.
the_archangel Posted November 2, 2007 Author Posted November 2, 2007 Have just spotted that when you click the category, it loads the following address http://fr-shh.co.uk/shop/index.php/cPath/22 Instead of http://fr-shh.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=22 I'll admit that I don't know much about this type of code work, so I'm unsure what file to look in, or what bit of code to change, or what to change it to!
the_archangel Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 Please can someone help with this. It's not my intention to plain bump, but I've got no new information to add except for: I turned off 'use search-engine friendly urls' and all it does is reload the index page. I really need help with this to get my store working properly again. Thanks.
germ Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I turned off 'use search-engine friendly urls' and all it does is reload the index page. Did you save it afterwards, 'cuz it looks to me like that's still the problem. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. the_archangel Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 I turned it off in the admin panel, and it is saved. Just to clarify, once I switched it off, clicking the category just reloads the index page. When it was switched on, I got the error message when clicking a category.
germ Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 I just visited your site. Everything's OK now, right? If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. the_archangel Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 My mate just helped me sort it out. All I had to do was go admin->configuration->cache and switch 'use cache' to false. Thanks for replying.
