Cart Quantities

We've been doing a lot of customization to an osCommerce install we have for a client. The only thing we've been having trouble with is getting the cart to list individual items in the cart. We can't have a quantity count because we take extra details per product.

 

Example:

 

$item _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |_____|* _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ $attributes _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ $price

*: Our special attributes per item.

 

 

We can't have 3qty of an item because each one of those could be, say, a different color.

 

I'd like to think that there's an easy way to do this, but I don't really know. Like I said, just one (quantity) item per line.

 

Looked at from another perspective, hopefully to avoid confustion, the same item can appear multiple times in the shopping cart.
