Guest Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 How do I create a linking page for my linking partners? It seems the only place to put the page is in articles. Does anyone know a better strategy?
Nullachtfuffzehn Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 Are your linking partners kind of affiliates? There are a couple of contributions out there to accomplish what you want.

Does anyone know a better strategy? If you are talking a service you joined where they require you to add code to your shop, then you need to add them to a page to do that. They might require the page be named in a certain way so you would need to follow their directions. If you are talking about regular link exchanges, then the Links Manager contribution is what you should use. How do I start getting people to ad to my links?

Jack I hope you can help with this...I'd like all the link related pages from your contribution to be the same table width as the rest of my site. Which files do I modify for that? I can see now how the contribution works and I do love it. When I go seeking my own link partners and they have the same form to fill out, where do I say that their link is on my site? Where do I put that?
Jack_mcs Posted November 2, 2007 Posted November 2, 2007 If the pages are not appearing correctly on your site, you need to compare the included files with one of your own using a program like Winmerge so see what needs to be changed. There is no way to tell since each site is different. If another site also uses a form that requires a link to exist first, your only choices are to add the link manually to your site first or to cotact them and ask that they add yours first. Generally, the one wanting the link should be the one that adds it first. I'm not sure where I should post them that would look good on my site. Thanks again for your help.
