Left column takes up whole page! After installing java rollover categories

I used this contribution:

and followed this directions and now my site looks like this:

I checked the other files (head.php and boxes) and I think the problem is categories.php. Also, I made sure that the picture I made is smaller than the defined width of the column (130 px and 140 respectively) and it still doesn't work. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thx
