Upcoming products - sort order wrong after changing date format

I am sure this is a simple one for those in the know but basically my upcoming products are now listed in the wrong order as I changed my date formats from mm/dd/yyyy to dd/mm/yyyy ( european style ) - it is now sorting based on the day rather than the month.

 

Looking for a heads up on where in the programming it references it to sort by the first set of figures as I would now need it to sort by the second ( ie my month and not the day as it is now )
