Accounts Not Credit with Downloads after payment

I'll start by saying I'm new to oscommerce.

 

My new site allows for dowloads. It works fine generaly however 1 out of 10 customers pay via Pay Pal (which is the only payment option) and when they return to their account it is not credited witht their downloads. I've had customers wait 24 hours and they still do not arrive. This has become a real issue, especialy because I can't find a way to manualy credit their accounts.

 

Has anyone else had this problem?

Probably try using one of the paypal ipn contributions.

Two factors on that would be that the customers aborted the transaction by clicking on the small link or never returned to your web site.IPN it is maybe the solution to have a record of transaction, but will not fix the download problem if the customers do not return to your web site.IPN and return works fine if customers have an account with paypal or want to create one, but if the customers do not have or do not want paypal account then they will have to manualy return to your web site.That is the "Paypal way".
