I have changed the welcome message on the home page however at the bottom of the text is the line

osCommerce 2.2-MS2.

 

The code in my index.php file reads as:

This is my home page text and finishes here. '. PROJECT_VERSION . '</b></font>.');

define('TABLE_HEADING_NEW_PRODUCTS', 'New Products For %s');"

 

But them if I remove the line PROJECT_VERSION . I get an error.

make sure you remove the whole line and not just the '. PROJECT_VERSION . '</b></font>.'); bit.
