blr044 Posted October 30, 2007 Author Posted October 30, 2007 The image link has been corrected. Any further comments or suggestions are welcome. Thanks.
joannemojo Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 You need to make the images in your header one size and remove the border. I hate seeing the default blue border on linked images. If they are the same size you could make them look like a banner or something and make the whole layout tidier. I like your colour scheme. May thats because it's now November and it's appropriate. Have you thought about how that would translate in June or July etc? Your 'New products for November' doesn't look right. It's still in default blue/grey and doesn't stretch the length of the products.
blr044 Posted November 5, 2007 Author Posted November 5, 2007 I have been working on the header, but haven't ah a chance to upload it yet. I thought the background image would be ok for the holiday look. I am having a hard time editing the blue gray bar for the monthly new products. I have been in index.php, product_new.php and language/english.php Still looking through the stylesheet for the fix. Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Still looking. Thanks for your comments. Bennett
digilee Posted November 5, 2007 Posted November 5, 2007 Are you using Firefox? If so, install this tool set: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60/ It'll help you track down the correct css classes as well as a whole lot more. ♥Vger Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 1. Your 'Privacy' notice is a couple of hundred lines long, while your Condtions page is one paragraph. It should be the other way around. 2. The image you download from the Pay Pal website slows or completely hangs up your pages from loading, so store the Pay Pal image in your own images folder and adjust the link accordingly. 3. Scrolling Marquees in pages went out of fashion 5-6 years ago - because people hated them. 4. Way too much text above your products on the homepage - cut it down and insert links in it to various categories (great for search egines). Other than that - not too bad. Vger
spax Posted November 6, 2007 Posted November 6, 2007 The header image is too compressed so looks washy and while the background grad looks good, it doesn't look so good where it stops.
blr044 Posted November 6, 2007 Author Posted November 6, 2007 The header image is too compressed so looks washy and while the background grad looks good, it doesn't look so good where it stops. I do not have PS installed on my computer. I do have the software though. No knowledge yet of using it. BIG draw back I have, I have a problem working with colors. I have to rely on others for comments or suggestions. Any ideas of where I can get a header to match my site. which is also reasonable in price. Mainly I've had a few sales do far. Been looking, but nothing as of yet. Thanks.
