checkout-shipping.php 404 error (www missing)

Good day all.

Thanks god there is a forum for this stuff because I have no more clues.

I am receiving a 404 page not found error but am looking straight at the file in the directory structure.

 

So, I will give as many details of my setup as possible and let all of you much more experienced individuals instruct a newbie on what I'm messing up.

 

Hostgator hosting.

Installation automated by host gator control panel (version 2.2 oscommerce)

admin login works fine.

Put a few test items in the catalogue.

Added a couple to the shopping cart (seemed fine, listed out items)

Clicked checkout and got the 404 page not found error.

The www is missing! ? I've been digging around looking for this setting in the admin console but can't seem to find

the setting anywhere.

Went to directory structure and found the file to be there in the structure so I'm pretty sure the www needs to be there.

 

If more info is needed:

In the admin configuration console I set these options

Payment:

Of the many choices for payment, I only set Paypal to true after I installed the module.

Shipping:

In shipping I only enabled the per item shipping.

 

Not sure where to go from here. Let me know what else you need to know from me or just let me know what I'm missing.

Update,

I uninstalled and reinstalled oscommerce.

I directed it to be installed in a subdomain so that the www would not be required. I still get the same results.
