Random Products.

Hi all, I want to make those front 9 products under whats new for (month) box random... I tried the following contribution:

But it had an annoying button included with it which i couldnt find how to get rid of, and also just wasnt very random. Has anyone had success in implimenting such an adjustment that would allow for random products to be picked from your complete product inventory.
