How do you let customers create their own t-shirts ? contribution or tip needed !

Hi guys am looking in the forums for a contribution or a way to do let a customer create their own t-shirts , i want something similar to this used on this page http://www.neighborhoodies.com/scooter-p-213.html

 

Is there a contribution that does that or how would one make that happen ?

There is nothing that will do that in OSC. You need to either purchase a template or somekind of software that will allow you to do this or if you know PHP really well. You will need to write the code yourself. It can be done.

 

There is an ADD ON that will allow the customer to upload an image but its a mess & needs to be rewritten, thats as close as your going to get unless you write the code yourself.

I have no idea, I'm not that cluey :unsure: If you happen to work it out Id be interested. I too sell personalised stuff & something like what you were asking would be good. If you go to the contributions section you could download one of them & have a look at the code. That may help you on your way. Someone just made a new contibution with uploading, it looked quite simple enough but not what I was looking for, I can remember what it was. When I find it, Ill post it as Im sure you could just tweak it to what you want.

I found it, its to allow the customers to upload an image for reviews, but it has to be approved by admin first, saves you from having inappropriate images being displayed which is a nifty idea. If you know PHP maybe you could change it around to images being uploaded for the t-shirts instead of the reviews & maybe it will give you some idea on how to work it into the shopping cart. (or this for the cart)

 

I would like something like this (along the lines of the image reviews) but have the images being uploaded when the customer proceeds through checkout so that the image is sent along (emailed to you) with the customers order) It would make it easier to identify. If its done at some point at checkout at least if people intend on spamming you they can at least pay for the privilege.

 

Dont know if any of that helped you but Im sure someone will pop in with a bit more info for you.
