stylesheet not displaying

I have changed some styling for some info boxes using the stylesheet.css, however the changes are not reflecting on the site. Is there another style file that I am missing, any ideas?

You should try following

a. Clear cache in your browser.

b. Run your site through a proxy

 

 

Generally these files are cached on your machine or your ISP and even if the settings have changed, it would take a while before you yourself can see it.

 

A good IE short-cut is to hold down CTRL key and pressing enter to force IE to download a fresh copy of file. (I learnt this on forum a few days back... forgot who told me this valuable input... but it is really a good tip)

yeh, that was the first option I tried. i have repeatedly cleared the cache but it does not help. I am also viewing on 3 different computers, also on 3 different browsers, IE, FF and Safari. Still not displaying changes I have made. Even if I check the stylesheet.css through the admin's file manager the code is there, even though it does not work, it's very strange, or maybe not. I remember reading somewhere about external and internal stylesheets so maybe this could be the issue, but I have no idea where to start looking.

in fact any changes I make to the stylesheet now do not work, i have made many changes previously but at some point it has just stopped reflecting the changes live, it's driving me nuts.

ok, worked it out, somehow using the html/css editor I embedded the styleshett in the index.php, uploaded that and it worked.
