Guest Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I am putting together an online registration form and need some "basic" functionality. I'm wondering if OS will give me what I'm looking for. Here's the skinny: - Registrants should be able to select their level of sponsorship (2 table, 1 table, individual tickets) and whether or not they want to purchase add space. If I could get a total cost to appear on the page, that would be great, but not a deal breaker. - The client has a merchant account already, but not set up for online processing. The number of charges we are talking about is minimal so they would like to collect the information securely and run the charges through manually, as their partner organization does. - They have an SSL for their site already and are on a secure server. - The form shell is at whccny.com/ddRegistration.html I spoke with a programmer about setting this up but he was asking way too much for one online form. But he was suggesting setting up the form as I've done and having the information sent via encrypted email, which sounded good. but when I spoke with the host provider, they told me that even with the encryption, email is not a secure method for collecting cc info. Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated. Particularly as it related to using os for this project.
