craigrobertson Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 I get this warning message Warning Warning: I am able to write to the configuration file: /home/seanm/public_html/catalog/includes/configure.php. This is a potential security risk - please set the right user permissions on this file. Using ftp I change permissions to 444 and it keeps changing back to 644 when message is still there and go to check the permissions again... Can anyone help??? Thanks, Craig.
germ Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Sometimes FTP doesn't cut the mustard... <_< In that case, login to your sites Control Panel (provided by your Web Host) and change the permissions there. Sometimes it's like a scavenger hunt trying to find where to do that in your Control Panel, but it's in there.... Somewhere!!! If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
