davithedork Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Hey everyone, I think i got it to work, but the admin page said i didnt, but when i tried to buy stuff from my site, picked an item, went to shopping cart, and checked out, the url at the top changes to the shared ssl url. does that mean it works? even though the padlock on the admin page shows that i dont have a ssl connection? mewantone.com/test can anyone confirm for me that it is right? and that my ssl is up and running?
germ Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Force SSL for your Admin login by using this link: https://secure326.hostgator.com/~mewant1/test/admin There are other ways to force the Admin to use SSL, but me in my stupidity could never get them to work... If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. germ Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 The link I posted doesn't get you to a "secure" admin? If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you. germ Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 The Login link on your site works with no certificate errors (in IE anyway), so I'd say you have it right. ;) If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
