hi guys please can anyone help im deserpate here

Everyday from my supplier i get an updated delimited cvs excel file with products that are out of stock and in stock

The only way im updating these at present is manually which can take 3 hours each day which does not leave me enough time for other work on site.

Please can someone help and sho me how i can update the list without loosing any of the pics prices etc and only change if its in stock or out of stock

Try reading the documentation for Easy Populate in the contributions section.

 

You could develop an MS access db to take the csv file and output an update file ready to be transferred to your site and input via easy populate.

 

That should cut it down to 10 minutes, or it could be automated even more.

yes but there are so many easy populate contributions not sure which one would be right for me and dont want to risk loosing what u have now even though i have back up

I have tried to find help on the forum pages but have found nothing in 3 hours looking.

Please help.

I have tried to uplaod a dat file to my site via (www.mydomain.com/admin/csv.php) as instruction via supplier and it errored

I found one forum that mentioned permissions, so I changed them from 644 to 777 hoping this would allow upload. that didnt work either. Can you tell me what I am doing wrong or how to fix this?
