deleting languages/adding new front page

Hello all,

I am working on a site (www.gorgeous-gifts.com) and i want some help with the following 2 points:

1. I want to delete the language options (Spanish & German). So far i have just deleted the graphics on the country flags so that only the English flag shows. Can anyone tell me how to delete the languages sections of Spanish & German without messing anything up?

2. I have built a new index page (index.htm) which i want viewers to see first. At the moment the first page people see is index.php. How do i superseed the index.php page with the new index.htm page?

I would be grateful of any help anyone can give me!

Thanks and best regards

Hiya

The languages you can change from the Admin panel.

the doorway page you want you can do by moving the catalog into another folder, if currently it looks like

http://www.yourdomain.com which brings up the index.php of the store

you have to change it to http://www.yourdomain.com/shop (or whatever you want to call it)

and have your index.html as the first page so when your site is accessed the first page of http://www.yourdomain.com is your page which is linked to (http://www.yourdomain.com/store/index.php)

This meams you also have to make changes to your shop, as the directory path on the server will change

Hope this makes sense to you!

Hi Nic,

Thanks for your help.

I added the new front page by renaming it .html and removed the languages in the admin area.

Best regards

Good that you answered the second question yourself.

I would suggest one question per thread.
