Product Attributes? -or- Maybe not

Good morning everyone,

 

Ok heres the problem I've run into, I'm building an e-commerce website for a client and he makes custom sizes for SOME of his products but not all. I'm not really sure how I can make this work. I was thinking about having a text box input section for the customer to input the size they're looking for. [NOTE: the bigger/smaller the size, the price is always the same so I think this could be done with less problems due to this.] I'm not sure if this is a contrib already, I've researched but haven't found much. If this is not possible, has anyone ran into this problem and come up with a better solution? I'm open to any opinions/suggestions. Thanks for whatever help anyone can give!! :thumbsup:

Why not just have a customer size option in the attributes of the certain product, and then make them input their required size in the comments section when they checkout?
