Hello,

I installed the ep contribution. I have tried to download an csv file and upload it again and this works fine. However as soon as I edit the csv file and try to upload it again I get the following error message:

No products_model field in record. This line was not imported: | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | |

I guess it has got do do with the way I save the file. I have tried in different ways. Excel however always gives me the message: xxx.csv can have caracteristics that are not compatible with csv. Do you want to save (or someting alike, my excel is in spanish).

These are my settings:

EP vers: 2.76e

Temp Dir is Writable

Magic Quotes is: off

register_globals is: on

Split files on: 300 records

Model Num Size: 12

Price with tax: false

Calc Precision: 2

Replace quotes: false

Field seperator: comma

Excel safe output: true

Preserve tab/cr/lf: false

Category depth: 7

Enable attributes: false

SEF Froogle URLS: false

More Pics: false

Unknown Pics: false

HTC: true

SPPC: false

Extra Fields: false

I hope somebody can help me.

Cheers

hi...

If you save it as a tab delimited file then upload it should all be fine.

Be sure to add 1 product to the listing then download(this wil give you the correct fields) then

Open Excel.

Go to import external data>import data- browse for your folder the EP downloaded>open>.

Then (Step 1)use the "delimited option">(Step 2)Make sure "TAB" is the only one selected(Step 3) Make sure "Column Data Format" needs to be set to "Text".

Then press finish and select "OK" on the following box that comes up. your data will now be in the spreadseet.

Use your spreadsheeet to populate your products. Make sure you set Qty to at least 1 as this will make it active. Enable the product as "active".

(Make sure that you save it as a CSV. then open it and select a save as a "Tab Delimeted" file which you can then upload. No need to upload the CSV file.Hope this helps
