freetimedesign Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 After buying a template and installing it, what else do I need to make my online store up and running? Do I need to do any programming to add a SSL certificate? How do I connect my website to a credit card processing company to charge my customers?

Do I need to do any programming to add a SSL certificate? How do I connect my website to a credit card processing company to charge my customers? A ssl certificat is usually done in your hostings control/admin panel. If you have not set up oscommerce to use ssl when you installed it, then you will need to modify 2 files.... includes/configure.php and admin/includes/configure.php If you use a payment gateway or a 3pp for your payments, you can install and configure the payment modules in your admin under: modules >> payment if the default install does not have a module for your provider, have a look here: Payment Modules att...the default included cc module is just really for testing it does not connect to anywhere outside of your shop.....
