Affiliate Banner Placement on Catalog Main Page

Hi to all,

I would like to place an affiliate banner on my main store page, you know...right on top of the

"Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in? Or would you prefer to create an account?" message. How do I do this? I have the html code for the banner. Is that good or do I need other type of code?

 

P.S. Also, where does the ""Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?......" message reside? I would like to tweak that a bit as well.

To find out where such things are located, Agent Ransack might be a decent tool. Just google for it.

 

But to answer you question, the texts are defined at /includes/languages/ folder in the according language file (i.e. english.php).
