Additional product attributes.

What is the simplest way to add additional fields to a product like colour and size and whatnot? I've searched the forums, but there wasn't anything that explained the process or linked to a contribution. It would be nice if there was something out there I could just upload and click and a new feild would be added on demand.

Thanks Leslie, I am not sure why you post that (sorry about my poor english...) with every message. Are we in the wrong area of the forum to ask a question like this? Thanks with the help before, with the mysql issue that I was having.

 

I am also looking for the same thing that picard102 is. A pulldown menu that sits somewhere on the individual product page that would allow my guests to choose sizes, colors etc, and would write that information to the DB. I have also searched, both the forum, and the contributions, but I have not found anything like this. Can ya help?

That's not what I'm looking for at all actually. I want additional text fields on the product entry page where I can enter in the colour or material of the object. There are 100 different sizes and variations and I'm not going to enter each one as a product attribute.

Ahh, I see. I did just discover the product atributes section, and that was what I was looking for. Sorry, but if I find a contribution like that, ill let ya know.
