Jack_mcs
The two best known with execellent support are godaddy and namecheap. They both run sales off and on and you can get a cert for somewhere between $13 and $20. You may also have to pay your host for a private IP. Costs for this cary but should be between $1 and $5 per month. You may also want to check if your host offers a shared cert, which should be free if they do. It works just as well, if not better, but it will use a different name in the url. georgec
Get one from godaddy.com No need for a private IP as your secure webserver instance runs on the same IP as non-secure.. just under a different port. Dont like shared SSLs. I think you'll have some issues with OSC later on... i think with mod_rewrite but i'll have to check if needed. Its cheap... get your own. .. it is worth it. - G Can anyone recommend where I can purchase an SSL certificate and give me some idea what is the least expensive way to go? Shared ssl's work fine as long as the site is setup correctly. I've purchased one from godaddy and have had my server set me up with it, but now when I log into the admin panel it says the "not protected by SSL". Do I have to configure anything in OS to get it working?
