Problem with images on new intall

If you used an FTP program to upload the images and you used ASCII mode as opposed to BINARY mode (for the images), that will cause images to be screwed up.

The fix for that would be to re-upload the image files in BINARY mode this time.

:)

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I reloaded everything in binary mode and it's fixed most of the images but some of them are still broken. Buttons such as 'add to cart' are still distorted, do I need to change the permissions for the folder?

I couldn't find any broken or distorted images....

If the permissions on the folder weren't correct, you wouldn't be seeing any images at all.

Whenever I make changes to a web page, I always hold down the <Ctrl> key while doing a "refresh page".

This forces the browser (works with Internet Explorer and Firefox anyway) to reload the web page from the sever, thus you will always get "the latest".

;)
