.htaccess question

Hello Everybody, Boy am I so excited to explore and use this shopping cart! The install went so smoothly, it really seems like this cart processes everything extremely fast! Anyways, hopefully someone can help me out here.

 

I got to this part of the install instructions, and I'm not sure exactly what to do next. Here is what the install instructions said:

 

You need to .htaccess your /catalog/admin directory so that it is password protected. You

can use the password manager in your server admin area like cpanel.

Loginto your web hosting admin panel (cpanel or similar) and look for something like this "password protect folders" ...

Thanks, I was able to get into my server and password protect the required folder. Now I don't need to change anything in the shopping cart to accomodate it though correct?
